Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19th, 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poverty-stricken family which would later comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of life by using her vivid and broad imagination. Even before learning to write or read and compose herself songs. When she was 8years old, she purchased her first electric guitar. She began singing on the Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. She recorded her first album during the same year Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. She made a name in the local scene while in high school, however she wanted to perform on a larger stage. The year 1964 was the day after her high school graduation her family moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart at the top of Monument Records. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner required a new singer at around this point. Parton accepted the job in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. Parton quit the Wagoner's band in 1974 when her solo singles such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene beat out the collaborations. The song by Parton, I Will Never Have Love for You (for Wagoner), reached the No. number 1 position after the duo separated. The first time it made it to the top spot was in 1974.
