Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, as well as the proprietor of the independently free online news publication The Huffington Post. She was born in Greece and moved to England when she was 16. At Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in economics. First foreign-born graduate to serve as president in the famous debate group The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took over the presidency. Her popularity as a columnist of the conservative side was confirmed after she finished her degree. Arianna became famous in 2003 as she stood for California's recall election, replacing then Governor Davis. Also, she was the head of a Detroit fuel-efficient car project. She was named The Most Popular Women in Media according to Forbes in 2009, and was awarded the 12th spot on this list. In the same year Guardian included her in the 100 most influential media on their list. AOL purchased The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the president of the media division at AOL. It was comprised of several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. She was born to a journalist and manager Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. The way she lived her life was determined through her relationship with her mother as well as her relationship with her father despite her being very close to the latter. At an early age, she displayed leadership qualities which are still widely admired. As a 16-year-old her family moved to England in the United Kingdom for her higher education.
