Debbie Gibson made a name for herself within pop music in the 90s. As time passed, many other performers began to dominate the world of music, however Gibson was steadfast in her musical passion. Gibson was born in Long Island New York City on the 31st August 1970. Gibson is an Virgo who has an Italian/Sicilian German and some Russian origin. She was the daughter of Diane Gibson, and Joseph Gibson. She also has three younger sisters. As a child, she was studying piano with Morton Estrin. She started her career with a composition called "I Come from America" that she submitted the WOR WOR in 1983 to be an entry for its song contest. When she was awarded the prize the contest, her mother turned the garage in the family to a recording studio. She D.J. was inspired by an audition she gave to an local radio station the song she wrote, Only in My Dreams.
